Select 3i4 released [updated]

Posted by Andrew Duffell on 14:01, 25/6/2004 | , , , , , ,

CogAs previously rumored by The Icon Bar RISCOS Ltd have today released the latest installment of RISCĀ OS Select. It is available to all subscribers including those who had valid membership up until March 2004.
The most noticable change that I have noticed so far is a green logon screen, and the mouse pointer now seems to be borked on my Kinetic Risc PC.
Other people have also had sound problems with Kinetic Risc PCs.

Castle have also approached ROL about including Select features into their Merlin project.

The first installment of Select 4 is expected by Christmas, and will include a full set of postscript compatible fonts.

'Borked'. Is that a technical term? ;-)

It seems odd that only now do ROL mention that they have been approached by Castle to incorporate some Select features into their Merlin project.
Cheers!

Sound and mouse OK but Fonts wouldn't transfer properly (no real problem) and there's one or two items that didn't get transferred across (eg needed to re-install USB.
I do like the shaded action bars and the slick way you can use/delete the contents of selected fields.

I've lots to learn as I've promised we'll produce a series on the features! ;-)
